Kunzea pomifera, commonly referred to as Muntries or emu apples, is a woody shrub belonging to the Myrtaceae family. Native to the southern coastal regions of Australia, this plant is traditionally recognized for its edible berries that possess a crisp, spicy apple-like flavor. It is primarily a ground-hugging or low-spreading shrub that serves as both an ornamental and a productive agricultural crop.

The plant originates from the sandy dunes and limestone soils of Southern Australia and Victoria.
