Creeping wild rye (Leymus triticoides) is a perennial rhizomatous grass species belonging to the Poaceae family. Renowned for its vigorous growth and deep root system, this plant plays a crucial role in maintaining soil structure and supporting ecosystem stability in various grassland habitats.
Native to Western North America, this species is naturally adapted to diverse environmental conditions, ranging from heavy clay soils in valley bottoms to dry, saline landscapes.
