Mecardonia hybrids

Mecardonia hybrids are decorative flowering plants belonging to the family Plantaginaceae. Known for their low-growing, trailing habit and prolific yellow blooms, they have become a staple in modern landscaping for gardeners looking for durable and visually striking groundcovers.

The origins of these hybrids trace back to native species found in the Americas. Through selective breeding, horticulturists have developed varieties that are exceptionally vigorous, heat-tolerant, and capable of maintaining a carpet-like appearance throughout the entire gardening season.

Botanically, the plant features slender, flexible stems densely covered with small, serrated green leaves.
