Native to the tropical regions of South America, particularly the Amazon basin, the plant naturally thrives in humid environments. The shift from wild harvesting to commercial cultivation has prompted agronomists to develop specific planting protocols that ensure higher yields of the bioactive compounds found in the roots.
Botanically, Pfaffia glomerata is characterized by a robust root system and branching stems.
