Yellow alfalfa, scientifically known as Medicago sativa L. subsp. falcata, is a perennial legume species belonging to the Fabaceae family. Originating from the steppe regions of Eurasia, this plant has adapted to a wide range of climatic conditions. Its natural habitat spans from temperate Europe to the arid regions of Siberia.
