Silver vine, scientifically known as Actinidia polygama, is a deciduous woody vine belonging to the Actinidiaceae family. Renowned for its captivating fragrance and unique, edible fruit, this plant is often compared to its cousin, the kiwi, though it possesses distinct chemical compounds that trigger a unique physiological response in felines, similar to catnip.

Native to the mountainous regions of Eastern Asia, specifically China, Japan, and Korea, silver vine thrives in forest environments.
