Townsville stylo (Stylosanthes humilis Kunth) is a prominent annual legume species within the Fabaceae family. The plant originates from Central and South America. It gained global attention after its introduction into northern Australia, where it became a foundational species for improving vast, low-fertility rangelands. Botanically, it is a prostrate to semi-erect herb with trifoliate leaves and small yellow flowers arranged in dense terminal spikes.
