Dictyoglomales is an order of obligately anaerobic, extremely thermophilic bacteria. From an agronomic standpoint, these organisms are not considered plant pathogens; rather, they are highly specialized microorganisms that thrive in extreme thermal environments and play a constructive role in the degradation of organic matter.

The biological agents consist of rod-shaped bacteria capable of forming unique cellular structures. Their metabolic activity is strictly chemoorganotrophic, allowing them to efficiently utilize complex carbohydrates and biomass in environments where high temperatures prevent the growth of common soil microorganisms.

Agricultural crops are not susceptible to any form of infection or damage by these bacteria. Their growth requirements, specifically temperatures ranging from 60°C to 80°C, make it biologically impossible for them to interact with or harm living plant tissues in standard field conditions.

The distribution of Dictyoglomales is confined to specific ecological niches, such as geothermal springs and the thermophilic phases of industrial composting systems. In agricultural waste management, they are beneficial indicators of successful high-temperature fermentation processes.

These bacteria pose no threat to plant health and hold no pathogenicity against crops. Their value lies in their ability to accelerate the breakdown of waste and organic residues into stable humus. Consequently, no protection or control measures are required, as they contribute positively to soil fertility and waste processing.
