Promicromonosporaceae is a family of actinomycetes that includes soil-borne bacteria capable of causing specific infectious diseases in agricultural crops. These pathogens are gram-positive aerobic bacteria that primarily target the root systems and vascular tissues of host plants.

The most significant agricultural impact of this bacterial group is observed in sugar beet and certain cereal crops. The disease manifests as the degradation of root tissues, leading to substantial quantitative and qualitative yield losses during the vegetation period and storage.
