Woronichinia naegeliana is a species of colonial cyanobacteria belonging to the family Gomphosphaeriaceae. While not a traditional plant pathogen, it acts as a significant biological stressor in aquatic environments, often associated with harmful algal blooms that negatively impact water resources used for agricultural irrigation and aquaculture.
