Description
SPRING DRIP – compact ageratum up to 30 cm tall with large hairy leaves and dense inflorescences 1.7 to 2.1 cm in diameter. The flower is characterized by bright and varied coloring, making the plant attractive for decorating flowerbeds and borders. The variety starts flowering in mid-June and retains its color until October, while also tolerating pruning well, allowing the plant to maintain a neat appearance.
The plant is heat-loving and drought-resistant, grows quickly on light, fertile soils and prefers sunny locations. For cultivation, sow seeds at the end of March–April in seedling trays, lightly covering them with fine-grained sand. At a soil temperature of +18–21 °C, seedlings appear in 10–14 days, and after three weeks the seedlings are thinned. Seedlings do not tolerate dampness, so when transplanting into open ground, wait until spring frosts have passed and maintain a distance of 15–20 cm between plants.
Seeds comply with international standards and Russian GOST 12260‑81. The plant is suitable for creating decorative borders, flowerbeds of various purposes, and easily fits into landscape design thanks to its compactness, bright inflorescence coloring, and resistance to unfavorable conditions.
