Description
Alycha of the Donchanka Early variety is a universal hybrid variety intended for both fresh consumption and processing. The fruits of this variety are characterized by large size, with an average weight of 25 to 30 grams. They have a round shape and a dense dark-red skin that turns almost black with a slight waxy coating upon full ripeness. The flesh is dense, creamy-yellow with a reddish tinge near the skin, has a sweet-tart flavor and pleasant aroma. The fruits are not prone to splitting or shedding, detach easily from the stem, and withstand transportation well.
The Donchanka Early cherry tree is characterized by low growth and a round crown. The variety has good cold resistance, although flower buds are less resistant compared to some other varieties. The plant has moderate drought resistance and high yield. Fruit set occurs on cluster branches and one-year shoots. Ripening occurs early, allowing harvest simultaneously with the Kuban Comet variety.
The variety is susceptible to certain diseases such as powdery mildew and anthracnose, as well as pests including leaf miners, spider mites, aphids, fleas, and fruitworms. Despite this, Donchanka Early is distinguished by its resistance and stable fruiting, making it attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
