SOUTHERN WIND

Anemone 'Southern Wind' – a perennial rhizomatous herbaceous plant that attracts attention with its delicate beauty and variety of shades. The stem is upright, reaching 15–30 cm in height, often covered with silver pubescence, while the leaves are long-stalked, basal, five-parted, and densely pubescent. The flowers are large, 3–4 cm in diameter, usually single, with five-petal forms: white with a light purple tint on the outer side and slightly pubescent edges. They bloom in April-May, creating a bright spring spectacle.

The plant is characterized by good hardiness and ability to quickly establish in many climatic zones thanks to its powerful root system, which can form root suckers. After flowering in late June-July, numerous seeds appear, and the leaves wither in late September-October, which allows the plant to be used as a decorative element in flower beds, borders, and alpine slides.

'Southern Wind' is perfect for a sunny open place, but it can also grow in partial shade. It prefers fertile, moist soils, where it develops well thanks to its ability to grow quickly and resistance to various conditions. This makes the anemone a popular choice among gardeners wishing to add bright, picturesque flowers with delicate petals to their landscape that 'vibrate' in the wind.
