The Debut apple variety, developed by the L.P. Simirenko Institute of Pomology (NAAS of Ukraine), is the result of targeted selection optimized for Ukrainian agro-climatic conditions. A key technical advantage of this variety is its genetic resistance to apple scab, a pathogen that typically limits productivity in orchards with high humidity levels.

Biometric Metrics and Canopy Management

Debut is characterized by moderate tree vigor. From a commercial orchard perspective, this parameter is optimal: it allows for the optimization of pruning costs, simplifies mechanized harvesting, and facilitates better coverage of the internal canopy by crop protection products. The tree development does not require excessive resource allocation, as shoot growth is moderate, reducing the risk of overcrowding and ensuring proper aeration.
