Flame

The apple tree variety Flame is a low-growing tree with a drooping crown, exhibiting high winter hardiness. This variety is distinguished by its early fruiting and high yield, with fruits ripening at the end of September to the beginning of October, classifying it as an early-winter variety. The tree is resistant to powdery mildew and has moderate resistance to scab, simplifying care and reducing the need for frequent treatments.

The fruits of the Flame apple have a round-conical shape with a regular structure, medium to large size, weighing from 125 to 200 grams. The fruit skin is thin, smooth, and glossy, colored greenish-yellow with a blurred pink-red blush, covered with a grayish waxy bloom. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, juicy, and aromatic, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste rated at 4.3–4.6 points. Due to these qualities, the fruits have high transportability and good storage life, maintaining freshness in the refrigerator until March.

The Flame variety was developed by crossing the varieties Pepin Litovski and Bismarck, resulting in a combination of excellent taste qualities and resistance to adverse conditions. The tree blooms abundantly in early-mid season, contributing to a stable and high yield.
