KOVALENKOVSKOE

The 'Kovalenkovskoe' apple variety is a medium-sized tree with a round, medium-density crown and high growth energy. The branches are straight, diverge at an angle close to 90 degrees, and are compactly arranged, ensuring ease of care and harvest collection. The leaves are of medium size, elliptical in shape with wavy edges and medium hairiness on the underside. The flowers are large, pinkish-cream in color, with a slight aroma, which promotes good pollination and fruit formation.

The fruits of the 'Kovalenkovskoe' apple are large, round-conical in shape, weighing about 180 grams. Their surface is smooth, with a thin, waxy skin of light-green color, covered almost entirely with a purple diffuse blush. The flesh is white, finely grained, of medium density, juicy and sweet, without acidity, making the apples particularly pleasant to taste. The variety is distinguished by high consumer qualities, good transportability, and marketability of the fruits. The fruits ripen in the second half of August and retain their properties until the end of September and longer when stored in a refrigerator.

'Kovalenkovskoe' is an early-bearing variety with high winter hardiness and resistance to scab, which significantly facilitates care and reduces the risk of crop loss. The apple tree begins to bear fruit as early as the third year after planting, providing high and regular yields of up to 40 tons per hectare at a planting density of 1666 trees. The variety is universal in use: the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing into preserves, jams, and juices.
