LADY KRYM

Lady Krim Apple is a popular variety widely used in industrial horticulture, especially in Crimea and southern Ukraine. It is a medium-sized tree with an inversely pyramidal crown of medium density; branches depart from the trunk at a right angle, and shoots have a knee-shaped form and brown color. Leaves are ovate and smooth. The variety is characterized by good resistance to diseases such as scab and powdery mildew, as well as pests, which facilitates care and enhances crop reliability. Lady Krim apples are large, weighing on average about 175 grams, sometimes reaching 200 grams. Apples have a round, slightly ribbed, and regular shape with smooth skin covered with a bloom. The basic fruit color is greenish-yellow, while the covering color is red, evenly distributed over the entire surface. The flesh is white, dense, juicy, and crunchy, with a sweet-and-sour taste and a mild aroma. The taste of fruits is rated by tasters at 4.1 points, confirming their high quality. Lady Krim apple trees differ in high yield, reaching about 398 centners per hectare. Fruits ripen in mid-October, about 2-3 weeks after the Grani Smith variety, allowing for their use in late harvest and storage. Apples contain a significant amount of sugars (14.1%), acids (0.8%), and vitamin C (22 mg%), which makes them not only tasty but also useful. The variety is well adapted to various climatic conditions, allowing it to be grown in the middle belt and in southern Ukraine.
