Description
Variety selected by the Sverdlovsk Experimental Garden Station, obtained by pollinating the 'Anis Purpurovyy' variety with a pollen mixture of 'Samotsvet' and 'Raduga'. Breeder: L. A. Kotov. Undergoes state and field testing; distributed in the Urals.
Tree tall, with an inversely pyramidal, sparse crown, straight branches diverging from the trunk at an angle of 40-65º and a shedding brown bark. Main fruiting occurs on simple and complex ring buds.
Medium-thickness shoots, straight, round in cross-section, brown, hairy. Leaves dark green, medium-sized, oval, short-pointed, matte, with a "suede" surface, flat, with a rounded base, finely toothed or saw-toothed margins. Leaf petiole medium, with small sickle-shaped stipules.
Fruits medium to large in size, weighing from 100 to 180 g, one-dimensional, from flat-round to rounded-conical shape, with a smooth surface. Skin dry. Main color greenish-yellow, covering color — intense, diffuse, brick-red blush, with strong waxy coating. Fruit stalk very short, calyx small, with light-bronze rusting. Dish relatively narrow, smooth, medium depth. Calyx closed. Core small, bulbous, chambers closed or with thin slits. Subcalyx tube very short, conical.
Flesh greenish, medium density, juicy, good tart-sweet flavor. Chemical composition of fruits: soluble solids — 13.5% (up to 15.2%), total sugars — 10.7% (up to 12.2%), titratable acids — 0.85% (up to 1.34%), ascorbic acid — 18.9 mg/100g (up to 25.4 mg/100g), P-active substances (catechins) — 239.7 mg/100g (up to 298.8 mg/100g).
Fruit bearing begins on the fifth to sixth year. High yields, with tendency to periodicity. Winter hardiness is good; in wet years, the variety is susceptible to scab.
