Description
The Orenburgskoe apple variety is a late-summer variety of Ural selection, obtained by crossing various varieties, including large-fruited apple and Beliy naliv. The tree is characterized by a natural semi-dwarf or dwarf type with a crown of medium density and a round-spreading shape. Branches are spaced rarely and have a curved structure. The variety differs in precocity, entering fruiting already in the 2nd–3rd year after grafting, with regular fruiting in subsequent years.
The fruits of the Orenburgskoe apple have a round or round-conical shape, weakly ribbed, with medium to large mass from 108 to 160 grams. The flesh is creamy, of medium density, delicate, juicy, and finely granular, with a sour-sweet taste and medium aroma. Fruit ripening occurs in the first decade of August, and it is uneven. Apples are suitable for both fresh consumption and technological processing into compotes, jams, and preserves. Fruits can be stored for up to 40 days.
The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and resistance to scab, which makes it a reliable choice for growing in the Ural region conditions. Thanks to its characteristics, the Orenburgskoe apple combines high fruit quality, precocity, and resistance to unfavorable conditions, which ensures a stable yield and diverse possibilities for fruit use.
