The 'Ornament' apple variety is a late-winter Ukrainian selection, distinguished by high yield and early fruiting. It fruits in October, and the fruits retain their quality for more than six months when stored under cold conditions. The tree exhibits high winter hardiness and can consistently produce a harvest depending on the climatic conditions of the growing region.
The 'Ornament' variety produces large fruits, weighing from 200 to 240 grams, with an attractive appearance. Their color ranges from green with bright burgundy or carmine-red blush covering almost the entire surface to deep red with yellow spots. The flesh is light-cream-colored, firm, juicy, and aromatic, with a pleasant dessert-like sweet-tart flavor and a subtle fruity aroma.
The variety is self-sterile, so for successful pollination, it is recommended to plant it alongside 'Gala' and 'Golden Delicious' apple trees. Due to its characteristics, the 'Ornament' apple tree is ideal for private gardens and provides a stable harvest of large, flavorful fruits that can be stored for a long time.
