VESIALINA

The VESIALINA apple variety is a medium-sized tree with a round, compact, and moderately dense canopy. This winter variety was developed at the Institute of Pomology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus through crossing the hybrids Joyce × Uelsi and Babushkino × Lofah. The trees grow rapidly, begin fruiting at the age of 4-5 years, and produce regular yields with average productivity. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to scab, making it easy to grow and reliable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. VESIALINA fruits are large, weighing from 150 to 170 grams, round-conical in shape with a wide ridged surface. The fruit skin is very dense, covered with an abundant waxy bloom, with a greenish background color at harvest maturity, overlaid with a blurred dark red blush and a purple sheen. The flesh is white, dense, and very juicy, with a pinkish tint near the skin and barely visible pinkish-red veins inside. The taste is tart-sweet with a pronounced but not too strong aroma, making the apples an excellent dessert product. The tasting score for taste quality reaches 4.5 points. The VESIALINA variety is valued for the high quality of its fruits and the long storage period, which allows the apples to be consumed from October to January. The fruiting type is ringed, with one-year-old shoots of reddish-brown color that do not drop before harvest. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, making the variety in demand among gardeners and home apple enthusiasts. High resistance to adverse environmental factors and diseases ensures stable yields and long-term fruit storage.
