Description
Asparagus Kumuulus F1 – early hybrid of white asparagus, developed by the breeding company Bejo Zaden in the Netherlands. This variety is considered the benchmark for taste among modern hybrids and is distinguished by an exceptionally high yield of Class 1 produce. White spears possess a rich aroma and a delicate texture, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as for subsequent processing and canning.
Kumuulus F1 grows excellently in open ground on light, loose soils with regular watering and the application of organic fertilizers. Planting density reaches 35–40 thousand plants per hectare, ensuring a high yield without compromising fruit quality. The variety demonstrates excellent stress resistance: it is not susceptible to fusarium, rust, and bacterial infections, and is also resistant to certain viral and bacterial diseases.
To ensure successful cultivation, good irrigation and keeping the soil in a loose condition are required. Thanks to its high regenerative capacity and adaptability, Kumuulus F1 is suitable for cultivation in various agro-climatic regions, making it a universal choice for both small family farms and large commercial plantations.
