The Berthoud Raptor self-propelled sprayer is built on an architecture designed for harsh field conditions and demanding agricultural cycles. A key technical feature is the chassis with adjustable ground clearance, allowing operators to adapt the machine to different crop heights throughout the growth season. Power and Drivetrain Dynamics

At the core of the Raptor is a Cummins engine paired with a Bosch Rexroth hydrostatic transmission. This combination provides consistent torque and high traction, which is essential for working on uneven terrain or soft soil. The differential wheel management system ensures a minimal turning radius, significantly reducing the area of trampled crops during headland maneuvers and increasing overall field efficiency.

Axiale Boom Stabilization

The standout feature of the Berthoud Raptor is its proprietary Axiale boom suspension. Unlike standard designs, this system utilizes an active pendulum mechanism that compensates for vibrations and uneven terrain. This keeps the boom parallel to the ground, preventing the nozzles from hitting the soil or rising too high, which would compromise the uniformity of the spray pattern. This allows the machine to maintain precise application even at speeds exceeding 20 km/h.
