Growing «Khrystyna» Buckwheat: Field Notes

The 85–90 day growing season offers great flexibility in crop planning. As an annual crop, it displays strong early-stage vigor, which helps it close the rows quickly and suppress weed growth, reducing our reliance on herbicide applications.

Maintenance and Harvesting

From an operational standpoint, this variety doesn't require complex or non-standard practices. However, paying attention to seeding density is key—providing enough space for each plant allows its natural lodging resistance to shine. During harvest, we noticed that the threshing process is efficient; the grain separates cleanly, and the robust stems don't jam the machinery, allowing us to maintain a consistent harvesting speed.
