Yashlek is a mid-early diploid buckwheat variety characterized by high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as enhanced drought tolerance. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 25 to 34 grams, indicating the grain's size and quality. The average yield of the variety in growing regions reaches 23.3 centners per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural production.

Yashlek was bred at the Tatarstan Agricultural Research Institute and is intended for both food and nectariferous use. The variety is characterized by cold hardiness and an increased sugar content in the nectar, which facilitates efficient nectar collection by bees and supports apiculture. Due to these qualities, buckwheat Yashlek can be sown near apiaries as well as in field conditions to obtain high-quality grain.
