EGOR is a mid-season root celery variety, known for its high yield and excellent taste qualities. The period from germination to technical maturity is approximately 170-200 days. The rootstock has an oval shape with a slight elongation upwards, is large, smooth, yellowish-gray in color with a greenish tint and white flesh. The surface of the rootstock is decorated with sparsely located lenticels, and lateral roots are located low, which facilitates its pulling out of the soil. The average weight of the rootstock is about 600-1000 grams, and the depth of planting is medium. The EGOR variety is characterized by increased content of sugars, mineral salts, and essential oils, which gives it a pronounced aroma and useful properties. Consumption of this celery aids in removing salts from the body and increasing overall tone. Due to these qualities, it is widely used in cooking and folk medicine. The agrotechnology for growing this variety involves sowing seeds for seedlings in mid-March with a sowing depth of about 0.5 cm and a sowing rate of 1-1.5 grams per square meter. Seedlings are planted in open ground at the end of May, when the plants reach an age of 50-60 days and have 5-6 leaves. The recommended planting scheme is 35x40 cm, which ensures optimal development of rootstocks and high yield of up to 3.0-3.5 kg per square meter.
