Description
Leaf celery of the Vanyusha variety is a mid-season and high-yield variety with a period from full germination to the onset of marketability of about 105 days. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, ranging in height from 38 to 40 cm, with medium-sized, dark green leaves and a smooth surface. Petioles are thin, medium length, and green. The mass of one plant ranges from 140 to 170 grams. The taste quality and aroma of the leaves are good, making this variety universal for various culinary purposes.
Vanyusha celery is recommended for use fresh for preparing salads, first and second courses. In addition, dried leaves serve as a flavoring additive to soups, side dishes, and meat dishes. Aromatic leaves significantly improve the taste of pickled vegetables, such as zucchini, eggplants, and tomatoes. The yield of greens is from 1.9 to 2.2 kg per square meter, ensuring a good output of products with proper care.
Sowing seeds for seedlings is carried out in late February - early March, and transplanting into open ground is done in May according to a 30x30 cm scheme. Seedlings are transplanted at an age of 50-60 days. For an earlier harvest, late autumn sowing is possible in late October - early November. Several greens harvests are conducted during the vegetative period, after each of which plants are fertilized. For successful cultivation, timely watering, weeding, and soil loosening, as well as regular fertilization are necessary.
