BABUSHKIN GOSTINETS

Cucumber "Babushkin Gostinets" is a medium-early parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is medium-height, predominantly female-flowering, with limited lateral branching, which promotes the formation of 2-4 fruits per node. The fruits are cylindrical, 10-12 cm long, weighing 50-65 g, dark green with white pubescence and fine warts. They have a crisp, firm texture and a refreshing aroma, making them ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 2.5 to 4.5 kg per square meter, and up to 12.8 kg/m2 under optimal conditions. The cucumber is resistant to major diseases such as cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, false powdery mildew, and root rots, ensuring stable and prolonged harvests. Due to parthenocarpy, the variety does not require pollination, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions, even without insect pollinators.

"Babushkin Gostinets" is valued for its versatility: the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and retain their quality well during pickling and canning. The plant is early maturing, with the first fruits appearing as early as 50-55 days after sowing, enabling early harvests.
