Description
The fruits of the Barvina cucumber have a cylindrical shape, dark green color with white stripes, and a large-warted surface. The average fruit weight ranges from 70 to 90 grams, with a length of 10-12 cm, after which growth slows down. The length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3.1:1. The flesh remains crisp even after canning, making this hybrid versatile for both fresh consumption and processing.
The Barvina hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and cladosporeosis, as well as moderate resistance to false powdery mildew (peronosporosis). It tolerates stressful conditions well, has good storability and transportability. The seeds of this hybrid are suitable for cultivation under any conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
