CARETAKER

Caretaker is a medium-late maturing, bee-pollinated cucumber hybrid, primarily intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses. From germination to the start of fruiting, it takes 55-60 days. The plant is robust, with moderate branching ability, large dark-green leaves, and an indeterminate growth habit. Due to its high male flower content, this variety can be effectively used as a pollinator when grown alongside hybrids predominantly featuring female flowers.

The fruits of the Caretaker cucumber are cylindrical, measuring 18-20 cm in length and 120-200 g in weight, with prominent bumps and white spines. The cucumbers have dark green skin with blurred stripes and excellent flavor. The plant exhibits moderate branching and resistance to root rot and powdery mildew, ensuring good adaptability to various growing conditions.

The yield of this variety is 5-6 kg per plant or 14.9-15.9 kg per square meter at a planting density of 2.5 plants per square meter. Seedlings should be sown at the end of April, and transplanted into greenhouses at the end of May or beginning of June. These characteristics make Caretaker an attractive choice for greenhouse operations aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality cucumber harvest.
