Don Quixote

Early-maturing, parthenocarpic hybrid cucumber "Don Quixote" is intended for salad use. The plant is indeterminate, weakly branched, with female flowers, which ensures predominantly three to four female flowers per node. Cucumbers are short, cylindrical, dark green with short stripes, medium ribbed, 16 to 18 cm long. Fruit surface is smooth, slightly ribbed, single cucumber weight ranges from 125 to 140 grams. Fruit flavor is excellent, making them attractive for fresh consumption.

The hybrid has high resistance to root rot and tolerance to diseases such as downy mildew and ascochytosis, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield. Sowing seedlings is recommended in late April to early May, and transplanting into the ground should be done in late May to early June, when plants reach the two- to three-true-leaf stage. For protection and accelerated growth, temporary plastic coverings are recommended.

Direct sowing in open ground is also possible in late May to early June. Recommended planting scheme is 50x50 cm, which ensures optimal conditions for plant development and high-quality harvest.
