DONSKOY PASSAZH

Cucumber Donskoy Passazh — an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid of female flowering type, intended for cultivation both in plastic greenhouses and in open ground. The period from germination to fruiting is approximately 35-43 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant is indeterminate, medium-branched, and forms 2-4 female flowers at each node. The fruits are 10-13 cm long, weighing 100-120 g, with an elongated-cylindrical shape, numerous bumps, and white pubescence. The fruits have a dense skin, juicy flesh, and no bitterness due to the genetic characteristics of the hybrid. Donskoy Passazh is characterized by high yield — up to 15-16 kg per square meter — as well as resistance to true and false powdery mildew, ascochitosis, and other diseases. The hybrid is resilient to low temperatures and insufficient light, making it suitable for various climatic conditions. Plants respond well to timely application of mineral and organic fertilizers, which enhances both the quality and quantity of the harvest. For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown at a depth of 1.5-2 cm at an optimal soil temperature of 23-25°C. Planting density is approximately three plants per square meter. During the vegetative period, regular watering and fertilization, as well as staking plants to a trellis and covering with plastic for protection, are required. Harvesting is conducted every 3-5 days, which helps maintain steady fruiting and provides fresh cucumbers with excellent taste qualities, suitable for both fresh consumption and canning.
