FEDYA

FEDYA cucumber is a fast-maturing, bee-pollinated hybrid with mixed flowering type, predominantly female flowers. This variety is characterized by high yield and rapid maturation: fruits are ready for harvest within 38-48 days after emergence of seedlings. The plant is medium-height with moderate branching and cluster formation of fruits, allowing up to three fruits per node. FEDYA is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary plastic coverings, making it versatile for various climatic conditions. FEDYA cucumber fruits have oval-cylindrical shape, length of 10-12 cm, diameter of 3-3.5 cm, and weight of 80-100 g. Their surface is dark green with slight light stripes, covered with small, frequent bumps and brown spines. The flesh has thin skin and is free of bitterness, juicy, crisp, and slightly sweet. Due to its excellent taste and aroma, it is ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and salting. Leaves are pentagonal, medium-sized, green with characteristic pubescence, which helps protect fruits from spoilage and maintain their market appearance, preventing yellowing. The FEDYA hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases, contributing to stable and high yields of up to 5-6 kg per square meter.
