Gambit

GAMBIT is a mid-early hybrid salad cucumber distinguished by high yield and excellent fruit quality. Fruit set begins on day 48–65 after emergence, enabling fresh cucumber harvests throughout different seasons, including winter-spring in protected soil and spring-summer in open fields. The plant is medium-branched with female flowering and clustered fruiting, promoting high fruit formation per node.

GAMBIT fruits are cylindrical with short, light stripes and light hairs, measuring 10–12 cm in length and weighing approximately 100–114 grams. The cucumbers have dense, crisp flesh without bitterness or hollows, and a pleasant aroma and flavor. Due to these characteristics, they are suitable for fresh consumption and salads. The hybrid boasts high commercial quality, reaching up to 98%, making it economically advantageous for commercial cultivation.

GAMBIT is drought-tolerant and possesses broad genetic resistance to major cucumber diseases such as downy mildew, cladosporiosis, and powdery mildew. This reduces the need for intensive agronomic practices and treatments, simplifying plant care. The hybrid’s yield can reach up to 15 kg per square meter, confirming its high productivity and economic appeal for gardeners and farmers.
