Kubanets

Kubanets — a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid cucumber, intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses during the spring-summer period. The period from germination to fruiting is approximately 38-45 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant has medium height and medium leafiness, with a generative growth type and weak branching. One to two, occasionally more fruits, form at each node.

The fruits of Kubanets are oval-cylindrical in shape, about 8-11 cm long and weighing 90-110 grams. They are dark green in color, with light green stripes on some varieties, and are white-stemmed. The bumps on the fruit surface are small and relatively frequent. The flower remains well on the fruits, which is a characteristic feature of the hybrid. The fruits are of universal use, suitable for fresh consumption as well as for canning, and are well stored and transportable.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, such as downy mildew and powdery mildew, and is tolerant to root rots. These qualities make Kubanets a reliable choice for greenhouse cultivation, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
