Lustik cucumber is a parthenocarpic salad variety developed by MONSANTO HOLLAND B. V. This variety is intended for cultivation under temporary plastic covers in private gardens. The plant is female-flowering, with one to three female flowers per node, which contributes to high yield. Leaves are medium-sized and green, and the fruits are cylindrical with a long stem, green in color. The fruit surface is covered with very fine bumps and sparse white hairs. Average fruit weight is about 320 grams, and the taste is excellent. Fruit set begins on day 42 after emergence of full seedlings, allowing for early harvest. Commercial yield reaches 19.4 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for cultivation in various regions. The cucumber is resistant to Cladosporium and powdery mildew, significantly reducing disease risk and improving yield stability.
