NI HAO

Cucumber variety "Ni Hao" is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid with predominantly female flowering. The first harvest can be collected as early as 46-50 days after seedlings emerge. Plants are of medium branching with short internodes, promoting the formation of even, straight fruits 35 to 45 cm long. A small number of male flowers helps avoid plant overload, ensuring stable fruiting over an extended period.

The fruits of this hybrid are thin-skinned with a small seed cavity, possessing a sweet, juicy, and aromatic flavor. They retain excellent market quality for several days even at room temperature, making them convenient for storage and transportation. The hybrid tolerates low positive temperatures and short-term heat, and also exhibits resistance to various diseases, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield.

"Ni Hao" is recommended for cultivation in greenhouses and under plastic coverings. Seed sowing is typically performed in April, and seedlings are established by early May. Fruit set begins in June and continues until August. Cucumbers of this variety are excellent for fresh consumption as well as for preservation, including pickling and canning in tomato juice, making them a versatile choice for gardeners and farmers.
