Petrovsky

Petrovsky cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid with a fruiting period of 42-45 days from germination. The plant is vigorous, single-stemmed, with an extended fruiting period and predominantly female flowering. Leaves are large, dark green, and the plant has moderate branching ability. Fruits form in each node of the main stem, typically 4-5 per node, ensuring high yield.

Petrovsky cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, length of 9-11 cm, and weight of 80-130 g. The fruits are light green with medium-length stripes and faint mottling, covered with a coarse, moderately dense white pubescence. They feature a dense structure, absence of bitterness, and pleasant aroma, making them suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and marination. Fruits are easy to store and transport.

The variety is resistant to a complex of diseases, including olive spot and powdery mildew, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. Petrovsky is suitable for growing both in open and protected soil, achieving marketable yields of up to 15 kg per square meter in greenhouses and about 6.4 kg in open fields. Due to its quality and high productivity, this variety is popular among gardeners and farmers.
