AROMATIC BUNCH

The 'Aromatic Bunch' dill variety is an early-to-mid season bush type widely used for both home and commercial cultivation. The plant features a compact form with an upright rosette of green leaves covered in a waxy coating, which facilitates harvesting and prevents contamination during rain. Bush height reaches 35-40 cm, with a single plant yield ranging from 30 to 150 grams. The vegetative period is approximately 40-45 days, allowing harvest from early June through August. Green yield reaches up to 2.5 kg per square meter, while seed yield ranges from 2.2 to 4.1 kg per square meter. A distinguishing feature of the variety is its sweet and mild flavor with an aroma reminiscent of anise and caraway. Dill leaves are finely cut, dark blue-green in color, and maintain freshness longer than other varieties. Seeds are large and possess a sharper taste, making them an excellent substitute for anise and caraway in cooking. They are used in baking, marinades, meat sauces, and other dishes. Due to its aroma and flavor qualities, 'Aromatic Bunch' dill is a valuable ingredient for various culinary combinations, including vegetables, fish, lamb, potatoes, and peas. Sowing seeds is recommended in open ground from early April to early May, with a sowing rate of 20-30 grams per square meter for greens and 7-10 grams per square meter for seed production. For an earlier harvest, seedling cultivation is possible, allowing fresh greens to be harvested by the second half of May. The variety is characterized by a long flowering period, ensuring a prolonged green harvest throughout summer without the need for frequent re-sowing.
