Description
BOREY is a late-maturing bush variety of dill, distinguished by high yield and quality greens. The plant forms a semi-erect rosette 28 to 36 cm tall with 8-11 large dark green leaves with a bluish tint and a weak waxy coating. The leaves are juicy, tender, and aromatic, possessing a strong pleasant scent due to the essential oils content in all above-ground plant parts. The variety is characterized by rapid green mass growth and high resistance to bolting, which allows the phase of commercial suitability to be preserved for a long time and extends the period of using dill for greens.
Planting dill BOREY is recommended to be done in autumn or early spring, as well as multiple spring-summer plantings with an interval of 10-12 days. Seeds are planted to a depth of 1-2 cm or left on the surface of prepared soil with mandatory mulching with peat in a layer of 2-3 cm. Seedlings appear in 10-15 days. To obtain a quality harvest, it is necessary to thin out overcrowded plantings, loosen the rows, destroy weeds, and water the plants in time, as dill is a light-loving and moisture-loving plant.
BOREY prefers loamy and light clay, well-cultivated, neutral, fertile, and moistened soils. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for growing greens and spices, the maturation period of which is 40-55 days and up to 62-104 days respectively. This dill is distinguished by large leaves, high market value, and a strong aroma, which makes it a popular choice among gardeners and farmers.
