Description
KLAVDIYA — highly-yielding mid-late variety of dill, characterized by powerful, spreading plants with a height ranging from 90 to 110 cm. The leaves of this variety are large, fluffy, tender, and dark green in color, possessing enhanced aroma due to the high content of essential oils in all above-ground parts of the plant. This feature gives the greens a very pleasant taste and makes the variety especially valuable for culinary use.
One of the key characteristics of the KLAVDIYA variety is the formation of a powerful leafy rosette with late stalk formation, which significantly extends the commercial shelf life of the greens. Thanks to the slowed stem elongation, the greens retain freshness and an attractive appearance for a long time, which allows them to be used both in fresh form and for drying and freezing.
Sowing the KLAVDIYA variety is recommended in several stages starting from the end of April with an interval of 10-12 days, which ensures a continuous harvest throughout the season. Seeds are sown to a depth of 0.5-1 cm at a row spacing of 5-10 cm or by random continuous sowing; in this case, the sowing is mulched with peat to retain moisture. Care for the plants includes timely watering and weeding, while the greens are harvested as they regrow, which helps maintain a high yield.
