Description
The Gyria eggplant variety is a mid-season type that begins fruiting 110-115 days after seedling emergence. The plant is semi-spreading, reaching a height of up to one meter, and is intended for cultivation in plastic film-covered greenhouses and greenhouses. The fruits of this variety are spherical in shape, but depending on growing conditions, they can also be oval. The fruit diameter ranges from 9 to 12 cm, and the mass varies from 250 to 450 grams. At the technical stage of maturity, the fruits are dark purple in color, and at the biological stage, they acquire a brownish hue. The eggplant flesh is greenish, and the spines on the calyx are absent or encountered very rarely. Young fruits of the Gyria variety are tender and suitable for various home recipes, including the preparation of eggplant caviar, freezing, and other preserves. To obtain a quality harvest, sowing for seedlings is recommended in late February, with pricking out at the cotyledon stage. Seedling planting is carried out in late May. During cultivation, it is important to shape the plant by removing all side shoots and leaves up to the first fork. Each plant should leave 5-6 of the largest fruits, while the remaining flowers and fruits are removed to improve fruit quality. The planting scheme for the Gyria eggplant is 40 by 60 centimeters, which provides optimal space for plant development. This variety is valued for its stable yield, high fruit quality, and ease of care, making it an excellent choice for gardeners growing eggplants in greenhouses and plastic film-covered greenhouses. Thanks to its taste qualities and versatility in cooking, the Gyria eggplant will be an excellent addition to your garden and kitchen.
