A potent dual-action fungicide for comprehensive protection of winter crops against a wide range of fungal infections.
Description
Synergy of components: how Azox Duo works
The efficacy of the product relies on the combination of two active ingredients: azoxystrobin (strobilurin class) and cyproconazole (triazole class). Unlike single-component products, this synergy addresses resistance issues and provides protection for wheat at various stages of the pathogen's biological cycle.
The strobilurin component, azoxystrobin, inhibits mitochondrial respiration in fungi by blocking electron transport in the cytochrome complex, which leads to immediate growth cessation of mycelium and inhibits spore germination. A key feature of this component is the "greening" effect, which delays leaf senescence, thereby extending the photosynthetic activity of the plant.
The triazole component, cyproconazole, exerts a strong systemic effect. It suppresses the biosynthesis of ergosterol, which is essential for the formation of pathogen cell membranes. Unlike many other triazoles, cyproconazole exhibits high mobility within plant tissues, allowing it to quickly redistribute and protect even untreated parts of the ear.
Technical aspects of application
- Formulation: The suspension concentrate ensures stability of the working solution and optimal adhesion to the leaf surface, which is critical in rainy conditions to prevent runoff.
- Systemic and contact action: Combining contact and systemic mechanisms allows not only for the eradication of existing infections but also for the creation of a protective barrier that prevents reinfection.
- Control spectrum: The product demonstrates high technical efficacy against a wide range of winter wheat diseases: from foliar infections like septoria and tan spot to dangerous ear pathogens, including fusarium head blight.
The application rate ranges from 0.5 to 1 L/ha depending on the phytosanitary situation and the crop development stage. The maximum number of treatments is 2 per season, with a pre-harvest interval (PHI) of 30 days. As a class 3 hazard product, standard safety precautions must be followed when handling the agrochemical.
