MIMKA

Chaenomeles 'Mimka' is a compact bush reaching about one meter in height and approximately 130 cm in diameter, featuring a semi-spreading crown and medium branching strength. The branches are thin, light-brown, straight, and thornless, making the plant pleasant for decorative use.

The 'Mimka' leaves are small to medium-sized, dark green, with a rounded apex and blunt base. They are glossy and maintain their vibrant color throughout the season. Flowering shoots, about 90 cm long, bear shortened racemes of two to six simple saucer-shaped red flowers, 3–4 cm in diameter, which bloom early in spring and create a noticeable decorative accent.

The fruits are medium-sized with a cylindrical shape, ribbed surface, and yellow color without spots. They possess good drought- and heat-tolerance, as well as resistance to moniliosis. The 'Mimka' variety is winter-hardy, allowing its use in gardens with a moderate climate.
