Description
Antonina is an Asian hybrid lily of 100–105 cm height, distinguished by a slim and sturdy straight flower stalk. The plant's leaves are dark green, grow in ranks, creating a harmonious contrast with the bright flowers.
Antonina's inflorescence has a pyramidal structure about 35 cm long and consists of 15–18 large flowers. At the moment of full bloom, 7 to 10 open simultaneously. Each flower has a star-shaped, slightly chalice shape, facing the side, with a diameter of 9–12 cm. The color is bright orange and maintains saturation without fading; shedding is weak, making the plant suitable for cutting.
The stamens of Antonina are colored orange, while the pistil is light orange. The plant bloomed for 20–28 days starting from late June and has average transportability. The multiplication coefficient is 2–3; the plant is resistant to botrytis and winter-hardy. The bulb is white, which facilitates identification and storage.
Antonina is universal in use: it can be used both for living compositions and for cutting in bouquets. Due to disease resistance and good frost hardiness (zone 3–4), the plant is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
