Description
Lily Discoteka (Asian lily 'Discoteka') – a dwarf hybrid with a height of 30 to 45 cm and a plant width of about 35 cm. Flowers appear in early summer, usually in June-July, and remain bright pink with a creamy throat. Each bud consists of three satin petals and three sepals, creating an impressive glossy look; the flower reaches a diameter of 7.5 to 15 cm.
This lily is distinguished by its high frost resistance – it withstands temperatures up to -45 °C, making it suitable for cultivation in the harshest climatic conditions. The bulb can produce up to twelve flowers, so the plant quickly fills the space and looks great both in groups of 3-5 and in single plantings. Thanks to minimal soil requirements (slightly acidic, even poor, but moist with good drainage) and light (partial shade or full sun), Discoteka is easily grown in open ground as well as in containers.
The lily has no scent, making it safe for allergy sufferers and convenient for use at home. It is perfect for cutting, as well as for decorating lawns, borders, paths, and group plantings in flower beds. Care for it is simple: regular watering during the growth period, moderate feeding, and protection from severe frosts if necessary. Thanks to its hardiness and beautiful appearance, Discoteka becomes an excellent choice for both experienced florists and beginner gardeners.
