Lyudmila – an Asian hybrid of domestic selection from the group of floral-decorative lilies (Lilium L.). The plant reaches a height of 90–100 cm and is characterized by alternate leaves arranged in rings around the stem. Its scape is strong and straight, ensuring wind resistance and ease of placement in the garden.
Lyudmila's inflorescence has a raceme shape, 17–22 cm long, consisting of 8–10 flowers. Each bud has a campanulate (flat) structure, hangs downwards, is colored in a creamy-pink hue, and the anthers are bright red. Flowering lasts from 15 to 20 days and begins in mid-July, making this variety popular for summer decorative design.
Lyudmila is a bulbiferous lily: usually 2–4 bulbs and 7–10 offsets form on one stem. This ensures good replication and the possibility of quick propagation. The variety is resistant to common diseases – botrytis and fusarium, and its winter hardiness is high, which allows using the plant in various climatic conditions. Due to its universality and ease of care, Lyudmila is suitable both for garden compositions and for pot planting.
