MILKY WAY

MILKY WAY is an Asian hybrid lily with a height of 90 to 100 cm, distinguished by a slender and straight scape. The plant leaves are green and alternate, and each bulb typically produces one well-defined inflorescence. The inflorescence is an elongated raceme 30–35 cm long, containing 11 to 15 large flowers, five of which are simultaneously in bloom. The flowers are directed upwards, have a bowl-shaped form, and a diameter of about 15.5 cm.

The main flower color is lemon with characteristic spotting in the lower half of the petal; the petal tips gradually fade, creating a "glowing" edge effect. The perianth segments are wide and rounded, and the anthers are orange, adding brightness to the inflorescence. The nectaries are white, the stigma is light brown, and the style is dark brown. There is no scent.

The flowering period lasts 18 days and begins in mid-July. The plant withstands transportation well and maintains freshness in a bouquet for up to 15 days. The bulb has medium density, the scales are white, and the roots are stem roots. The variety is resistant to adverse weather conditions, diseases, and pests, possesses winter and heat hardiness, making it suitable for greening and cutting in steppe and forest-steppe zones.
