Blue clover variety Vlasta is a medium-height plant with a semi-erect habit and green leaves of medium dark color. The central leaflet is of medium length and width, and the flowers are distinguished by a very dark blue-violet hue, which is a characteristic feature of this variety. Flowering begins at an average or late stage, and the frequency of plants with such flowers is very high, while the presence of flowers of other shades is minimal or absent.
The Vlasta variety is classified as medium-maturing and is included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region. It exhibits good yield: the average dry matter yield is about 84.2 centners per hectare, and the maximum reaches 145.8 centners per hectare, exceeding the standards of conventional varieties. Protein content in the dry matter of green mass is consistently around 17.3%, and fiber content is 26.9%. Protein yield reaches 9.8 centners per hectare, indicating high-quality fodder material.
The Vlasta variety shows high resistance to adverse conditions: drought and lodging are rated 9 points, rust resistance — 7 points, powdery mildew resistance — 6.9, and root rot resistance — 9 points.
