Constanta F1

Watermelon Constanta F1 is a mid-early hybrid of the Galia type, suitable for cultivation both in open and protected soil. The plant is vigorous with a strong leafy canopy, bearing 4-5 fruits. The fruits are round, yellow with a dense netting, weighing 2.0–2.2 kg. The flesh has a light salad or cream color, small seed cavity, and high sugar content (14–16%), providing a sweet, aromatic, and crisp flavor.

This hybrid is valued for its resistance to Fusarium wilt and drought, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Its high flavor quality and excellent fruit storability make it suitable for table use. For planting, seeds should be sown at a depth of 5 cm when soil temperature reaches +12°C. Germination begins at air temperatures above +16°C, while optimal growth conditions for the plants are in the range of +25–30°C.
